Regional Support

Together, we can face NF.

At NF Canada, we believe there is strength in working collectively to ensure consistent support and educational services are readily available to those affected with NF. We work with affiliate provincial members across Canada in the hopes of providing information and services that are thorough and accessible. We encourage you to reach out to your local NF group for individual support, along with information regarding local resources that may benefit you and your family.

When NF Canada was established in 2004, the founding directors recognized the importance of supporting the growth of the provincial organizations. In 2008 NF Canada initiated support through the introduction of a Special Projects grant. By providing funding to groups across Canada, we hope to strengthen Canada’s capacity to serve the families affected with Neurofibromatosis.

A second focus of our funding is to help ensure that groups have the core operating funds they need to provide basic services. This could include producing a newsletter, hosting an educational meeting, organizing a member’s event or updating their website. The Core Funding Grant became available in 2010 and these funds will ensure that each province is able to provide service to their unique communities .To learn more about the grant program or to request a funding application please contact us.
