Training Programs & Resources

Thank you and congratulations for becoming a participant with the NF Dream Team. Now that you have signed onto the team and registered at your event, it’s time to start training.

You are probably asking yourself about now, “How am I going to run a marathon, I can’t even run to the end of the block!” Well, don’t worry. We’ve provided training programs and resources for any level, whether this is your first event, you plan to walk the course, or you are running the half- or full marathon. The hardest part may be lacing up your sneakers and heading out for your first exercise session. However, after just a few weeks of training, you will get into the habit of exercising, and you will even begin to enjoy it.

Having the courage to start is often the biggest hurdle. Keep in mind that marathon running is 90% mental, and only 10% physical. Thus, doubting your ability and creating excuses not to train is perfectly natural. Incorporate a positive attitude and a good training program, and you will cross the finish line.

With exercise, truly there is no better time to get started than the present. Here are a few resources to help you on the way. If you have any questions about training or preparing for your race, just ask –we want to see you succeed!
